Carvoeiro Beach

Carvoeiro beach in the Algarve (praia do Carvoeiro) is known as the ‘town beach’ located in the centre of a typical Algarve fishing village called Carvoeiro.
It is a small sweep of sand nestled in a valley sheltered by cliffs on either side.
Carvoeiro is now a popular, ever expanding resort town, so it can get very busy during the summer months.
There is also the opportunity to take a boat trip around the caves from the beach or to take part in water sports during the high season.
Access is easy and level with the pavement making possible the use of a wheelchair.

There is car parking just behind the beach, but spaces are limited and since it can get quite busy in summer, you may need to park a little further away and walk down.
You will have no problem finding a restaurant or coffee shops as well as public showers and toilets.
