Odeceixe beach

Odeceixe sits right on the border between the Algarve and the Alentejo.

The Odeceixe beach (Praia de Odeceixe) is situated at the mouth of the River Seixe (Rio de Seixe), about 3 kilometers from the main village, having this way both river and sea waters reachable for swimming and sailing, perfect for families, and is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches of the region.

The northern side of the river has a backdrop of steep cliffs which shelter the beach. To the south of the main beach is a small cove with another sandy beach called Praia de Adegas, designated a naturist beach.
